Unexpected Character Translation In Cached Html Files
Symptoms:
Under certain conditions, some characters were
being translated inappropriately prior to placement in the file system cache,
thus adding an extraneous character to the cache output (e.g.
£ becomes
£).
Versions affected: 1.2.401.80 and earlier
Workaround:
Certain characters (e.g. 7-bit ASCII "£") were being
inappropriately translated to a 2-byte Unicode character when marshaling the
raw data from the IIS GetRawData stream to the Unicode .Net string buffer
prior to being placed in the file system cache.
This problem has been corrected in Accelerator
1.2.401.81 and later versions. Download the latest Accelerator from the
site (http://www.metoliussoftware.com/downloads.htm)
and follow the procedures for updating the software.
